Every summer for fifty-seven years, the doctor has visited the Xikrin villages to bring his knowledge to treat diseases from the other world that have arrived here in recent decades. Each year he sends his health reports to several non-governmental organizations but also to the Public Ministry, denouncing and scientifically explaining the sufferings of the Xikrin. Thanks to this, some officials in Brasilia were able to support the Xikrin associations in the current lawsuit against Vale. The mining company Vale does not respect its contract, nor the environment and the communities that inhabit the Indigenous Territory of Cateté. Things must change! TI Cateté, Brazil, July 2019
Todos os verões, durante 57 anos, o médico visitou as aldeias Xikrin para trazer seu conhecimento sobre o tratamento de doenças do outro mundo que chegaram aqui nas últimas décadas. Todos os anos ele envia seus relatórios de saúde a várias organizações não governamentais, mas também ao Ministério Público, denunciando e explicando cientificamente os sofrimentos dos Xikrin. Graças a isso, alguns funcionários em Brasília puderam apoiar as associações Xikrin no atual processo contra a Vale.
